Losey Bennett

Losey Lee â??Leeâ?? Bennett, 55, of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke VA. Born January 10, 1952 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Losey Ernest and Margaret Faye Meadows Bennett. Losey was a Christian who was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for Pipestem State Park with 30 years of service. He was the former Fire Chief for the Pipestem Volunteer Fire Department and a United States Marine Corp veteran. Lee was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting elk in Colorado with his family. Lee is survived by his wife of 30 years Brenda Miller Bennett. Two sons; Losey Christopher â??Chrisâ?? Bennett at home and Jacob Lee Bennett and his wife Jessica of Jacksonville, NC. One half brother; William O. â??Peteâ?? Meadows and wife Julia of Albuquerque, New Mexico and a niece Margaret Baca also of Albuquerque. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Lerona United Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Chester officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call at the Lerona United Methodist Church from 5:00 till 9:00 PM. on Thursday. Pallbears will be Chris and Jacob Bennett, Butch and Rockie Mansfield, Jimmy Keaton and Heath Stapleton. Harold Meadows, Steve Bolar and Monty Ball will serve as Honorary Pallbears.
