Lottie Parker, 81, of Talcott, died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the home of her sister following a long illness.
Born August 1, 1928 at Judson she was a daughter of the late John A. and Sarah C. Bennett Sears. Lottie was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Summers County, loved doing needlepoint, crossword puzzles and taking care of her beloved cats. She attended the Rollynsburg Baptist Church while her health permitted.
Preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Parker and several brothers and sisters.
Survived by one stepson, Dennis Parker and wife Erma of Bedford, VA; several grandchildren, one sister, Norma Garten of Talcott and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Saturday at the Funeral Parlors.
Jeff Garten, Roger Cox, Michael Boone, Jason Hickman, Melvin Miller and David Hicks will serve as pallbearers.
