Lou Belcher, 77, of Clayton went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division following a long illness.
Born August 7, 1943 at Montgomery County, VA she was a daughter of the late Wilfred Howard Boone and Daisy Richmond Boone Williams and husband Melvin Williams.
Lou was a member of Tempa Baptist Church. She was a machine operator at Precision Fabrics in NC. Lou enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family and reading her Bible.
She was preceded in death by one son, Cabot Resuta; two sisters, Josephine Patterson and Patsy Rush and two brothers, Shelby Boone and Ricky Williams.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Tammy Belcher of Clayton, Rex Belcher and wife Donna of MD, Tim Belcher of Greensboro, NC, Clark Belcher and wife Holly of Brown Summit, NC and Brian Belcher and wife Nancy of WI; grandchildren, Brooke, Savannah, Michael, Steven, Melissa, Cameron, Noah, Justin, Niki and Kaitlyn; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Abigale, Amber, Emily and Angela and one expected great grandson, Sawyer James; siblings, Delmas Williams and wife Mary, Larry Williams and wife Sue, Kenneth Williams, Helen Maddy, Jeannie Hicks and Gail Williams and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Tempa Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Tempa Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Wednesday at the Tempa Baptist Church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
