Lou Sadie Cales Williams, 83, of Vinton, OH formerly of Summers Co. went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Holzer Senior Care Center following a long illness.
Born March 25, 1927 at Hix she was the daughter of the late Allen Preston and Effie Lillian Richmond Cales. When Mrs. Williams was a resident of Summers Co. she attended the Tempa Baptist Church, was a retired nurse?s aide whose dedicated herself to providing quality care to the elderly, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Williams; stepfather, Hobert Williams, two brothers, Arlie and David Cales and three sisters, Eleanor Cales, Janice Cooper and Mary Wickline.
Survived by three daughters, Margie Cox and husband Charles of Gallipolis, OH, Loretta Johnson and husband Frank of Jackson, OH and Sheila Metzger and husband Dan of Homersville, OH; six grandchildren, Scott Williams, Timothy Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Luann Johnson Parker, Melissa Stefanik and David Metzger; nine great grandchildren, Jami Rowland, Whitney Williams, Kelsey Staten, Devon Johnson, Twila Johnson, Katie Parker, Corey Johnson, Dillon Johnson and Darien Parker; one great-great grandchild, Madison Staten; four brothers, Alton Cales of LeGrange, OH, Alfred Cales and wife Betty of Medina, OH, Roger Cales of Jackson, OH and Jerry Cales and wife Drema of Tempa; one sister, Genetta Humphreys and husband Roy of Brunswick, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Tempa Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Tempa. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the Church.
Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
