Lucille Vest

Lucille M. Vest, 83, of Beckley, formerly of Madamâ??s Creek, Hinton, died 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 14, 2008 at the Raleigh Center of Daniels following a long illness. Born July 6, 1925 at Brooks, WV she was the daughter of the late Cleve and Pearl Ayers Ballengee. She was a homemaker and attended the Martha Chapel United Methodist Church on Madamâ??s Creek while her health permitted. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Azle (Bud) Vest; three daughters, Thelma Lee Vest, Dorothy Payne and Ruby Vest; two sons, Everett and Arthur Vest and two grandsons, Arthur Ray and Howell Payne Jr. Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Jerry Vest of Tampa, FL, Paul Vest and wife Sharon of Perrysburg, OH and Alan Vest and wife Jayne of Inwood, WV; one step son, Virgil W. (Sonny) Vest and wife Betty of Madams Creek; four daughters, Carolyn Stanley and husband Gary of Thomasville, NC, Joyce Farley and husband Samuel of Ellison Ridge, Kathy Rose and husband Eddie of Ellison Ridge and Diana Struss and husband Bill of Spring Creek, NV; twelve grandchildren, Jodi, David, Kenny, Barbara, Sandy, Harold, Meredith, Joan, Linda Gail, Nicole, Gary and Angel; and fifteen great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Vest Cemetery on Madams Creek. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral parlor. Pallbearers will be Gary Cales, Harold Vest, Kenneth Vest, Adam Vest, Mark Meador and Alton Via.
