Mrs. Lucy Wiseman Willey, 99, of Fairfax, VA, formerly of Hinton, died Sunday morning, March 13, 2005 at the Manor Care ? Fair Oaks Rehabilitation Center at Fairfax, following a short illness. Mrs. Willey was born March 11, 1906 at Hinton. She was one of nine children born to the late H. Leslie and Elizabeth Boone Wiseman. Mrs. Willey was a former telephone operator prior to starting a family and becoming a full-time housewife and homemaker in 1932. She had lived her entire life in Hinton and Summers Co. prior to her move to Northern Virginia in 1995, to be with her son David and his family. She was a member of the Bellepoint Baptist Church in Hinton and talked often about her many church friends she had left behind. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett L. Willey, in 1982; two sons, Garnett L. (Chubby) Willey, Jr. in 1961 and Don R. Willey in 1994; three brothers and four sisters also preceded her. Survivors include one son, David Willey and wife, Ann, of Williamsburg, VA; one sister, Virginia Meadows, of Hinton; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Willey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Mary Willey of Centreville, VA; one brother-in-law, Alvin Willey and wife Margaret of Hinton; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastors David Board and Ben Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Friday. Pallbearers: Greg and Scott Willey, Sonny Whitaker, Sammy Ball, Don Hoke and Steve Pack.
