Lula Edith Pack, 90, of Jumping Branch, went home to be with the Lord, Friday April 20, 2012 at the Raleigh Center in Daniels following a long illness.
Born August 25, 1921 at Streeter, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Lucinda L. Johnson Pack.
Lula was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a homemaker and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Jumping Branch-Nimitz Senior Citizens and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oral Wilton Pack; five sisters, Laura Agnes and Susan Marie Pack, Flossie Bennett, Maggie Meador and Eva Young Thompson and four brothers, Emmett, Noah, James Wilson and William A. Pack Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include a niece, Eva Gay Harmon of Nimitz and a great niece, Pamela Harmon Meadows and husband Donald also of Nimitz who provided her care over the past several years. Numerous nieces, nephews and family that she dearly loved, also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Donald Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly ? Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until time of services on Monday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Nurses, CNA?s, and Staff of the Raleigh Center for the love and compassion that they have given to Lula and her family during her time of illness.
