Luther Floyd ?Luke? Adkins, 86, of Meadow Creek died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born June 9, 1925 at Meadow Creek he was a son of the late Fisher and Sally Bragg Adkins. Luther was of the Baptist Faith and had lived all of his life at Meadow Creek. He loved spending time in the outdoors and with friends and family.
Preceded in death by three brothers, David, Pete and Issac Adkins and three sisters, Lanie Adkins, Mary Hatfield and Delsia Diehl.
Survived by, Sylvia Crowe of Meadow Creek, Pauline Walker of Meadow Bridge and Oren Williams of Meadow Creek and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside service and burial will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Cemetery with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends may gather at the cemetery from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Monday.
