Luther Meadows

Luther Hayze Meadows, 89, of Brooks went home to be with the Lord, Monday March 17, 2014 in the Springfield Nursing Home at Lindside, WV following a long battle with Alzheimers Disease.
Born August 27, 1924 in Raleigh County, he was the son of the late Everette and Ida Plumley Meadows.
Self employed painter for many years while his health permitted, United States Navy Veteran of World War II and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.
Survived by his wife of 62 years Ruth Faye, three daughters Linda Fox and husband Gerald of Ballard, WV; Debra Mills and husband Ronald of Mount Airy, NC; Judy Faye Lilly of Hinton; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Elsie Cochran of Daniels, WV.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. There will be no visitation, the body was cremated per his request. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Springfield nursing home for their loving care and kindness.
