Mabel Meadows

Mabel Jane Meadows, 76 of 313 Cedar Ave. in Hinton died at 9:45 Thursday September 16, 2004 in the Springfield Center at Lindside, WV following a long illness. Born January 21st 1928 at Sandstone WV she was a daughter of the late V.C. and Alice Vance Cox. Mabel was a lifelong resident of Summers County and was of the Baptist Faith. Retired employee of the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and a former employee of the old Hinton Hospital. She was preceded in death by two sisters Annie Johnson and Thelma Johnson. And by one brother Robert Cox. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Buran E. Meadows.Three daughters Gale Holcomb and husband Tom of Manassas, VA, Sharon Meadows of Maxwelton, WV and Pam Wharton and her husband Mike of Manassas, VA. One brother Russell Cox of Nimitz WV and two grandchildren also survive. Graveside services and burial will be at 2:30 PM Saturday at the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 P. M. Saturday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors to go to the cemetery.
