. Macil G. Ward, 88 of Ellison died at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2005 in the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. Born November 16, 1916 in Summers Co., she was the daughter of the late Ulysses Adkins and the late Mary Susan Adkins Cales. Mrs. Ward was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., she was a homemaker, a member of the Community Christian Church, and a retired cook at Jackâ??s Drive-In at Hinton. Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Ward, four sons, one granddaughter, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters. She was the last member of her immediate family. Survived by three sons; Harry Ward and wife Stella of Middletown, OH, Douglas Wayne Ward and wife Brenda of Daniels, and Timothy Wayne Ward and wife Tammy of Beckley, six daughters; Mary Sue Frazier and husband Danny of Hinton, Jewel V. Copen and husband Buddy of Cleveland, OH, Drema June Cox and husband Tom of Franklin,OH, Phyllis Gail Gilliam and Husband Steve of Beckley, Connie Jean Cox and husband Robert of Ellison and Freda Dianne Lilly and husband Oley of Ellison, 27 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren and two devoted pets, Pepper and Boots. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Rev. Douglas W. Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Family Cemetery on Chestnut Mt. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
