Maddy Bolton

Colean Maddy Bolton, 82, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 in Florida. Born March 1, 1925 at Bellepoint, WV, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Clara Meador Maddy. Mrs. Bolton moved to Charleston, WV with her first husband, Arnold Houchins, where she lived for several years. Following his death, she moved to Alexandria, VA where she met and married her second husband, Marion Bolton. Upon his death, she moved to Orange Park, FL to be close to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Bolton was a member of the Orange Park United Methodist Church, Orange Park, FL. in addition to spending time with her children and grandchildren, she remained employed at her son-in-lawâ??s office until one month before her death. Besides her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Arnold, Ronald and Wilmer Maddy. Survived by three children; Drema Houchins Farmer and husband Guy of Jacksonville, FL, James Arnold Houchins and wife Barbara of Charleston, WV and Anna Houchins Weaver and husband Gerry of Orange Park, FL, six grandchildren; Cindy Ours and husband Tom of Sheperdstown, WV, Caroline Morris and husband Stewart, Andrew Weaver and wife Allison and Guy Farmer all of Jacksonville, FL and Robert and Patrick Weaver of Orange Park, FL, two great-grandchildrem whom she adored; Anna Kate Ours and Lila Weaver. Colean has three sisters and a brother whom she cherished; Avelene Richmond and husband Robert of Yorktown, VA, Philip Maddy and wife Martha and Phyllis Ratcliffe and husband Thomas of Nimitz and Mary Ploeger and husband Skip of Sedro Woolley, WA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Wayside United Methodist Church with Pastor Harry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 6-8 P.M. on Friday and at the church one hour prior services.
