Margaret Emily Caudell Bowling 91, of Rock Hill, S.C. died Friday September 9, 2005. Born April 12, 1914 at Dotson, N.C. she was the daughter of the late Jesse Thompson and Nancy Craft Caudell. She was the postmistress at the Whitby, W.V. post office and a member of the Beckley Regular Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Otis Vernon Bowling, one sister Jessie Opal Harvey, one brother William H. Caudell, a son-in-law Philip J. Combs, and three infant sisters. Survived by two daughters: Mervin Allen and her husband William of Rock Hill, S.C., and Corinne Lockhart and her husband William of Ocala, F.L., one granddaughter Deborah Allen Raines of Aiken, S.C., five grandsons: William K. Allen II of Greenville, S.C., Neil D. Allen of Lake Wylie, S.C., Mark and Jonathan Combs of Fairfax, V.A., and Michael Allen of Stafford, V.A., two sisters: Gladys Bowling of East Palatka, F.L., and Wanda Lilly of Nimitz, two sisters-in-law: Virginia Cales of Hampton, V.A., and Ruth Kegley of Princeton, W.V., two brothers-in-law: James E. Bowling of Nimitz, and David Harvey Sr. of Stuarts Draft, V.A., ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday September, 12, 2005 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. till time of the service on Monday.
