Margaret Johnson

Margaret R. Johnson, 61, of Indian Mills, WV died at 5:45 P.M. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her home following a long illness. She was born February 23, 1948 in McDowell Co. WV and was the daughter of the late Jess Lee and Thelma Louise Meadows Raines. Mrs. Johnson was a 20 year employee of the Summers Co. Council on Aging where she worked as a Community Care Coordinator as well as a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She is preceded in death by one brother, James Raines. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Roy A. Johnson at home; two daughters, Jessica Raines and husband Harold Crawford Jr. of Peterstown and Melissa Raines of Indian Mills; five grandchildren, Alexis Crawford, Kenneth Crawford, Alana Harrison, Allen Harrison and Andrew Slaughter; one sister, Carolyn Jones of Cashmere, WV and several aunts, nieces and nephews. In keeping with her desires, her body will be cremated. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, Monday from 6-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the family.
