Marguerite Trueman

Marguerite DiBetta Trueman, 88, of Pence Springs, formerly of New Orleans, LA passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, following a short illness.

Born May 15, 1924 at New Orleans, LA she was a daughter of the late Frank and Maria Grasso DiBetta.

Marguerite was a former secretary, having worked in the 1940?s on one of the first made IBM computers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, crocheting, playing cards and was known as the ?Crossword Queen.?

Other than her parents, Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, CW-2 Kenneth E. Trueman Sr. and two sisters, Lillian Marquette and Marie Winston.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Karen Johnson of Pence Springs, Kenneth E. Trueman Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Louisville, KY and Kaye Harris and husband Glenn of St. Rose, LA; seven grandchildren, Laurie Palmer and husband Mike of Pence Springs, Dawn Taylor and husband Brian of Nimitz, John Trueman of TX, Travis Trueman of Louisville, KY, Abigail Trueman of Louisville, KY, Erin Creel and husband Bobby of St. Rose, LA and Kevin Harris of St. Rose, LA; six great grandchildren, Justin and Emma Jo Palmer of Pence Springs, Christopher Taylor of Nimitz, Kyle Harris of St. Rose, LA, Trinity and Tristen Trueman of Louisville, KY; one brother, John DiBetta of New Orleans, LA and two sisters, Esther McCall of New Orleans, LA and Anita Trentacoste of AK.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Alderson with Reverend Rick Duncan officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Entombment will follow in Louisiana at a later date.
