Marlene Rolanda Martin, 44, of Talcott went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Born December 31, 1967 at Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow E. ?Woody? and Blanche L. Hightower Martin.
Marlene was a homemaker. She attended the Church of the Living God at Madams Creek. She enjoyed collecting crystal figurines, bears & jewelry, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by one brother Darrell Hicks.
Those left to cherish her memory include: two sons, Patrick Maurice ?P.J.? Garrett of Talcott and Dalton Elijah Lee Smith of Talcott; two sisters, Darlene Mardinia and husband Charlie of Mesa, Arizona and Aldona Reese of Talcott; one brother, Norman Martin and wife Jeanie of Cleveland, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 26, 2012 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel with Pastor Ron Iddings officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery on Powley?s Creek. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until time of services on Saturday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
