Martha Ann Bennett, 81, of Zion Mountain passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Summers Nursing and Rehab following a long illness.
Born October 20, 1936 at Long Bottom she was the daughter of the late Wayman and Stella Adkins Berry. Martha was a lifelong resident of Summers County, member of the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading the Bible, cooking and spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bennett, infant son, Robert Lawrence Bennett, six sisters and three brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Jimmy Bennett, Carl Bennett and Dennis Bennett and wife Maria all of Zion Mountain; three daughters, Ruby Lilly of Shinnston, WV, Jewel Adkins and husband Paul of Pipestem and Barbara Lilly and husband Aldie of Jumping Branch; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Brown, Michelle Crawford, Jeremy Adkins, Joe Lilly, Jennifer Buckland, Ashley Lilly and Brittney Lilly; five great grandchildren, Zakary Hicks, Mason Hicks, Kaylee Adkins, Aria Buckland and Parker Buckland and four sisters, Carmen Berry, Connie Lane, Lani Belle Bennett and Corene Sears.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday April 5, 2018 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of the services on Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
