Martha Sue Ball Mounts, 77, of Madams Creek, Hinton joined the angel choir in Heaven on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Princeton Health Care Center following a long illness.
Born October 10, 1939 at Madams Creek she was a daughter of the late John T. and Dora Pauline Ball.
Martha worked for several years outside the home as a teacher's aide and for Super Aid Pharmacy in Rich Creek, VA. She was a devoted pastor's wife and enjoyed attending church services, revivals, camp meetings, singing for radio broadcasts and participated as long as her health permitted. She loved to travel and shop, was an outstanding cook, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a classy beautiful woman, friend to many and loved by all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 59 years, Emory "Tommy" Mounts; four sons, Rodney (Tammy) Mounts of Alderson, Greg (Kim) Mounts of Beckley, Steve (Debbie) Mounts of Hinton, and Todd (Pam) Mounts of Jumping Branch; eight grandchildren, Adam (Tiffany) Mounts, Emily (Jamie) Cozort, Megan (Casey) Morgan, Tyler (Stephanie) Mounts, Ethan, Hunter, Christopher and Nickolas Mounts; seven great grandchildren, Haleigh, Ellie Grace, and Brady Cozort, Keyley, Corbin Lucas, and MaKenzie Mounts; one sister, Margaret (Alvin) Willey; one brother, Sammy (Shirley) Ball; two sisters in law, Eleanor Allgood and Nadine Morris; two nieces, LuAnn Whittaker and Jennifer (Norman) Farley, one nephew, Junior (Sandra) Ball, and several great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday February 28, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Robbie Merritt and Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral parlors. Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Cozort, Casey Morgan, Adam, Tyler, Ethan, Hunter, Nick and Chris Mounts.
Martha's family wish to express their sincere appreciation to Princeton Health Care Center and Hospice Compassus for their love and care during Martha's last part of her journey here on earth.
