Mary Belle Vest Lilly, 83, of 109 Maple Avenue, Hinton, formerly of Nimitz, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her home following an apparent heart attack. Born January 14, 1925 at Streeter, she was a daughter of the late Howard A. and Opal Harvey Vest Lilly. She had lived most of her life in Summers Co. She moved with her family to Florida in 1952 and retired to Nimitz, WV in 1984, where she lived until moving to Hinton earlier this year. During World War II, Mary Belle worked in Defense plants building mines and later worked as a beautician and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband; Edward T. Lilly, Jan.8, 2008; one great grandson, Riley Humphrey; two brothers, Carl A. Vest and John David Vest; one sister; Ruth Lowe. Survived by, two sons; Dr. Edward Lilly and Alan Lilly both of Hilldale, three grandchildren; Eddie Lilly and wife Jill of Marie, Tiffany Lilly of Bluewell, Va., Michelle Humphrey and husband Adam of Culloden, Va., six great grandchildren; Christian and Kylie Lilly, Melody and Bryce Adkins, Pierce Muncy and Elizabeth Humphrey. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday March 30, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton, with Elder David Bailey officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of service. In keeping with her wishes, following the funeral service her body will be cremated and her cremains will be interred at the William Vest Cemetery at a later date.
