Mary Surbaugh

Mary Grace Addleman Simmons Surbaugh, 95 of Weirton, formerly of Green Sulphur Springs, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Wyngate Senior Living Community, Weirton.
Born October 24, 1923 in Hinton, WV, she was a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Violet Bleau Addleman.
Although Mary was mostly a homemaker, she and her first husband were owners of the Foodland, and Simmons Hardware in Hinton, WV and the Sawmill near Green Sulphur Springs, WV. She was highly involved in her community with a main focus on being very active in the 4-H program where she was a leader, camp counselor and a WV All Star. Mary also enjoyed gardening, traveling and doing arts and crafts and was an avid WVU sports fan. Mary was a member of Lick Creek Baptist Church and later, the First Baptist Church in Hinton, WV.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband W. J.B (Billy) Simmons in 1989; second husband Willie Surbaugh in 2018; brothers Alvin, Calvin and Ralph Addleman and sister Alice Huddleston.
She is survived by her two daughters Debbi (Mel) Price of Round Hill, VA and Patricia Smith of Enid, Oklahoma; son William A.(Aussie) Simmons of Wytheville, VA; grandchildren Colleen Pettrey, Tara (Nick) Frankovitch, Alissa (Cody) Lack, Dawn Pullen, Kim (Bill) Adams, JB (Katie) Simmons, Samantha Moretz and Kelly (Keith) Mills; 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Per Mary's wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Restwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating.
