Mary Lee Boone McKinzie, 74, of Talcott went home to be with the Lord, November 14, 2017 at her home following a long illness.
Born October 11, 1943 at Cambria, VA she was a daughter of the late Raymond T. and Elizabeth Dick Boone.
Mary was a 1964 Graduate of Allegheny District High School in Shawsville, VA a former CNA for many healthcare facilities and had worked in housekeeping at Lewis Gale Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her daughter and granddaughter. She was looking forward to meeting her expected great granddaughter.
Those left to cherish her memory include, one daughter, Crystal Goodwin and husband Elvis Sr. of Talcott; three grandchildren, Elvis Goodwin Jr. (Katelyn) of Lowell, Wyatt Goodwin of Talcott and Grace Goodwin of Talcott; one expected great granddaughter, Paisley Noel Goodwin; three brothers, Barry Boone of Moneta, VA, Gary Boone of Judson and Greg Boone of GA; special best friend, Lena Mae McNew; special coffee drinking buddy, Doug Cassell, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and special friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday November 21, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Tempa Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
