Mary Virginia "Ginny" Tinsley Hicks

     Mary Virginia “Ginny” Tinsley Hicks, 54, of Morgantown formerly of Jumping Branch passed away February 28, 2023 at her home.

     Born April 19, 1968 in Washington D.C.  she was a daughter of Mary Hatcher Tinsley of Athens and the late Clifford Lee Tinsley.

     Besides her father, Ginny was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Doc and Mildred Hatcher and paternal grandparents, Dave and Dorothy Tinsley.

     Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Eugene “Buddy” Hicks Jr.; two daughters, Beverly Ann Babcock and Megan Elizabeth Babcock of Maryland; one son, Andrew Todd Babcock of Maryland; several grandchildren and four siblings, Clifford “Bubby” Tinsley and wife Marcy of Pennsylvania, Robin Rutherford of Athens, Jason Tinsley of  Athens and Jeremy Tinsley and wife Rose of Kegley.

     There will be no services at this time and a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
