Maxine Collins

Maxine Collins, 72, of Ballard, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 following a short illness at the Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division.

Born November 1, 1939, in Summers County, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Bertha Bragg. Mrs. Collins was of the Baptist Faith and had previously lived and worked in Baltimore, MD for 30 years, then returned home to her beloved home state to retire.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Collins, five brothers; Bob, George, Daniel, Joe and Dougie Bragg, and two sisters, Betty Regalcuto and Sally Dick.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Liza Waddell and Mary Miller as well as several nieces and nephews.

Maxine loved her family, flower garden and her beloved dogs.

Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow Richmond Cemetery at Ramp. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Dean and Dennis Bragg, Chris and Shane Greenlee, Jerry Simms and Jimmy Bragg.
