Maxine Richmond

November 25, 1932 — February 27, 2014

Maxine Richmond, 81, of True went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her home following a long illness.
Born November 25, 1932 at Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ollie Buckland Goff.
Maxine was a member of Cooks Chapel Baptist Church. She was a 1953 Hinton High School graduate and had obtained her certified nursing assistant degree and cared for the elderly until she retired in 1998. Maxine was an artist who enjoyed crafts and painting. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Preceding her in death include her husband, Willard Richmond; infant son, Noah Benjamin Richmond; infant grandson, James Landry Anderson; grandson, Tyler Richmond; three sisters, Evelyn Reed, Hazel Lilly and an infant sister, Nina Mae Goff.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Anita Phillips and husband Bill of Pipestem, Nora Richmond of Bellepoint, Dale Ann Richmond of Bellbrook, OH and Perry Richmond and wife Karmin of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Corey Yancey and wife Desiree of Harrisonburg, VA, Erich Gill and wife Victoria of Hinton, Hilary Phillips of Pipestem, Nick Cooper and wife Wendy of St. Albans, Andrew Phillips and Chris Romero of Phoenix, AZ, Bethany Olckers and husband Jan of South Africa, Jenna Gilmore of Princeton and Windy Phillips of Dublin, VA; six great grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Yancey, Grey and Gabe Gaddis, Seth Gill and Haydn Olckers; two sisters, Wanda Lively and Reva King and special friends, Ed and Lou Workman of True.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dallas Peyton and Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral parlors.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern WV.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
