Maycle Spain

Maycle Geneva Buckland Spain, 89, of Hinton passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Heartland of Beckley following a long illness.
Born December 25, 1920 at Cunard she was the daughter of the late William Elbert and Maggie Susan Cox Buckland. May had been a resident at Hinton House Apartments for many years and she enjoyed walking with her many friends who resided there. Everyone loved her who met her but especially the staff at Heartland of Beckley where she resided from 2008 until her passing.
Preceded in death by her husband Roy Spain; five sisters, Aretta Buckland, Hallie Ruth Buckland, Dorothy Anne Lilly, Ina Susan Cash and Julia Fair Lowry and two brothers, Carson Lee Buckland and Okey Alvin Buckland.
Survived by her brother, John Charles Buckland of Daniels; one step-daughter, Johnnie B. Larkin of Alabama; two step-grandsons, Roland and Wayne Larkin of Alabama; several step-great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Delmas Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Powleys Creek. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
