Melissa Basham

Melissa Lee Basham, 41, of Crab Orchard passed away June 25, 2015 following a long illness.
Born April 11, 1974 in Beckley she was the daughter of James Basham Jr. of Scottsburg, IN and Patty Cochran of Athens.
Missy loved going for boat rides, cooking out and spending time with her friends. She loved everyone she met and never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Carrington and Ruth Spade and James Basham Sr.
Other than her parents, she is survived by her finacé John Shiftlet; sons, Chris Anderson of Wheeling and Steven Anderson of Princeton; grandmother, Latona Basham of Beech Run; two aunts and three cousins.
A Celebration of Melissa's Life will be held at John's home, 275 Glenview Rd., Crab Orchard, WV 25827 at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
