Melissa "Missy" Sluss

            Melissa “Missy” Sluss, 55, of Hilldale went to be with her mother and father in Heaven on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, VA following a long illness.

            Born December 19, 1967, in Hinton she was the daughter of the late Harold Dean and Donnie Ward Brookman.  A homemaker and lifelong resident of Summers Co. she enjoyed collecting whatnots, watching tv especially cooking shows and spending time with her family and friends.

            Preceded in death by one brother, Mark Roberts.

            Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 35 years, Tim Sluss Sr. of Hilldale; one son, Timmy Sluss Jr. of Hilldale and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

            At Missy’s request Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors has been entrusted to provide cremation services and there will be no funeral service.
