Michael S. Reed, 17, of Meadow Creek died Sunday, August 10, 2008 near Meadow Creek from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Michael was born September 18, 1990 at Princeton. He would have been a Senior at Summers County High School this fall. He was a free spirited individual who loved outdoors, the river, motorcycles and cars. Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Maynard Reed, maternal grandfather Thomas Berry and one uncle, Bernard Reed. He is survived by his father; Roger W. Reed and wife Kandi and her children Zachary and Billy, all of Meadow Creek, his mother; Melanie Roberts Lawson and husband Steve and his children, Justin, Tyler, Zachary and Alex Lawson all of Beckley, two sisters; Beth Reed of Meadow Creek and Shawna Leopard and husband Christopher of Ft. Lewis, Washington; paternal grandmother, Neva Butler Reed of Meadow Creek; maternal grandparents, Earl and Linda Ward Roberts of Meadow Creek; maternal great grandmother, Maxine Berry of Coal City, three aunts, Aileen J. Smith of Orlando, FL, Sherrie Brown and Husband Butch of Princeton and Kelly Yancey and husband David of Ballard; , one great aunt, Sandra Brennen, four great uncles, Keith and Leslie Wayne Berry, Kenneth and Kevin Ward, several cousins including Sonya Hoort, Brian Noyle and Jeff Reed and numerous friends also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday August 15, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Harry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery near Pipestem. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time on Friday at the funeral parlor. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
