Michael Tickle

Michael Edward Tickle, 63, of Dorchester, SC entered into his rest at 1:00 a.m. Monday June 18, 2012 at his home following a long battle with cancer.
Born May 23, 1949 at True, he was the son of the late Donald R. and B. Pauline Lucas Tickle. Lived his early life in Summers Co. and upon graduation from High School entered the United States Navy where he served his country during the Vietnam War, Mr. Tickle was a retired Industrial Electrical Supervisor and attended the Givhans Baptist Church at Ridgeville, SC.
Survived by his wife, Edythe Hosey Tickle of Dorchester, SC; one son, Chris Dillon and wife Tracy of North Charleston, SC; six grandchildren including two very special grandchildren, Hollie and Michael Dillon and wife Riina; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Murphree and husband Tom of White Bluff, TN and Becky McCoy and husband Ronnie of White Bluff, TN; one brother, Russell Tickle and wife Phyllis of White Bluff, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at the James Chapel United Methodist Church at True with Pastor Richard Clapp officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites will follow in the Spangler Cemetery at True. Friends may call Thursday June 19, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton and one hour prior to service time on Friday at the Church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
