Mildred Scott

Mildred Ruth Cole Scott, 90, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Rocking Chair Residential Home following a long illness.
Born February 12, 1921 at Jumping Branch she was the daughter of the late Ezra Calloway and Ruby Cochran Cole. She was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch and the Order of the Eastern Star, a homemaker who had formerly worked in the Bluestone Room at Pipestem State Park as a hostess.
Preceded in death by her husband George B. Scott in 1994; one son, Gregory C. Scott in 2007 and one brother, Wilmer Thurl Cole in 2001.
Survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Scott of Meadow Creek and nephew, David N. Cole and wife Diane of Pipestem.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery at Mt. View. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
