Moody Donohoe, 78, of Hinton passed away 1:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at his home following a short illness.
Born October 8, 1932 at Pluto he was the son of the late Pearl S. Ethel Bower Donohoe. Moody worked many years as a mechanic for H&N Ford in Hinton till their closing he then worked for Earhart Motors until his retirement in 1995. He attended First Baptist Church of Hinton, enjoyed working outside mowing grass and keeping his lawn groomed.
Survived by two sisters, Glenna Mize of Grandview and Garnet Ballard of Madams Creek; two brothers, Mason Donohoe and wife Bonnie of Delaware and Mayo Donohoe and wife Judy of Madams Creek; four nephews, Randy Ballard and wife Debbie of Bellepoint, Steve Ballard and wife Kim of Glade Springs, Ricky Donohoe and wife Tammy of Delaware and Bo Donohoe and companion Lou Ann Hinton of Madams Creek.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roy L. Honaker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Donohoe Family Cemetery at Madams Creek. Friends may call from noon until service time on Tuesday.
Jackie Bennett, Bobby Wheeler, Randy Martin, Mike Fleshman, Mike Toler and Dan Sowers will serve as pallbearers.
Dean Bennett and Norman Farley Sr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
