Myrtle Richmond

Myrtle M. Richmond, 101 of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, December 3, 2008 at Heartland of Beckley following a short illness. Born December 1, 1907 at Longbottom, she was a daughter of the late John Henry â??Docâ?? and Sarah Clementine Vance Adkins. She attended the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle while her health permitted, a homemaker who loved to crochet and was faithful to read her bible daily. Preceded in death by her husband, Orell L. Richmond; one daughter, Ninajean S. Honaker; one son Elsworth E. â??Rickyâ?? Richmond; five sisters, Bulah Adkins, Sadie Bragg, Goldie Patterson, Lola Bennett and Maureen Meadows; two brothers, Raymond Adkins and Earnest Plumley. Survived by three grandsons, Butch Honaker and wife Sandy of Hinton, Elsworth E. Richmond Jr. and wife Stephania of Georgia and Phillip J. Richmond of Reston, VA; two granddaughters, Loretta Presley and husband Bill of Kenova and Deloris Richmond Kessler of Wilson, NC.; ten great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine Chandler, Blanche Wood and Daisy Bennett; one son-in-law Roy L. Honaker Sr. of Hinton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with her grandson Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Friday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
