Nancy Lee Gill, 74 of Marie went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born July 10, 1938 in Fayette County she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie Rakes Taylor.
Nancy was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and a homemaker who lived most of her life in Monroe County. She enjoyed quilting, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by two infant sons; one daughter, Kathy Little; a great great grandson, Brian Romanello and her sister Madeline Allen.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 57 years Russell A. Gill; her children, Lawrence Wayne Gill and Wife Betty Joanne of Glade Hill, VA., Pamela Rutherford and Husband Roy of Marie, Rebecca Cochran and Husband Kevin of Princeton, and Melissa Allen and Husband Jamie of Marie; eight grandchildren, Chris, Brooke, Michele, Jeremy, Joshua, Shea, Haven, and Rodney; five great grandchildren, Kathrine, B.A., Jacob, Adam and Airick; one brother, Edward Taylor of Marie.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday August 19, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. on Saturday.
