Nellie Wallace Miller, 96, of Hinton, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Rocking Chair Residential Care at Lerona, following a long illness. Born May 31, 1911 at Lowell, she was the daughter of the late James Manuel and Arminta Jane Manning Wallace. She was a lifelong resident of Summers Co. and a retired Summers Co. School Teacher with more than 40 years of service, member of the Retired Teachers Association, Women of the Moose, Hinton BPW and a former member of the Summers Co. Senior Citizens Board of Directors. She was the last member of her immediate family. Preceded in death by her husband, William Arnold Miller on August 6, 1965; five brothers, Edgar, John William, Robert, Hubert and James Andrew Wallace and three sisters; Annie Lowe, Mary Hellems and Lula Hume. Survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Dana L. Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Keller Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Lowell. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. on Friday. Her great nephews will serve as pallbearers.
