Noralee McBride, 89, of True went home to be with the Lord, Saturday August 18, 2007 at her home following a short illness. Born March 25, 1918 at Beaver Creek in Ashe County, North Carolina she was a daughter of the late Roy Roscoe and Julia Nelson Trivett and the last surviving member of her immediate family.Mrs. McBride was a member of the River Valley Baptist Church, a columnist for the Hinton Daily News, Salesperson for Mason Shoes and had provided home healthcare for several years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the gospel by giving out daily devotionals from Bible Pathways, as well as story telling with her family.Preceded in death by her husband Levi H. McBride in June 1988. One daughter Frances Harris, an infant son Kenneth Earl McBride and an additional infant son. One grandson Rodney McBride, one great great grandson and a daughter in law Peggy McBride. Seven brothers; George, Paul, Claud, Arby, Thomas, Roy and Ernest Trivett. Five Sisters; Mary, Sarah and Mabel Trivett, Georgia Meador and Pansy Goff.Survived by four sons; Roy McBride and wife Sue of Walnut Cove, N.C., Ray McBride and wife Sara of Capon Bride, Joseph McBride of True, and Wayne McBride and wife Cindy of True. Five daughters; Jane Whitt and husband John of Disputanta, VA, Joyce Harrison and husband Kenneth of Princeton, Julia Tench of Powhatan, VA, Jewel Donahue and husband Jack of Pliny and Karen Burley and husband Gary of True. 33 Grandchildren, 62 Great Grandchildren, 19 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
