Miss Onva Marie Lemon, 73, of True died with grace and dignity Friday September 29, 2006 at 6:30 am at her home following a courageous battle with stomach cancer. Born October 25, 1932 at True she was the daughter of the late Willie H. and Betty Martin Lemon. Miss Lemon was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her sister Faye Yost of Princeton and six brothers Clarence, Howard, John Talton and W.H. â??Juniorâ?? Lemon of True; and Cary and Ray Lemon of Massillon, Ohio. She was a 1952 graduate of Hinton High School, a 39-year employee of Maidenform in Princeton, and an employee of Pipestem State Park laundry services. She was an active member of James Chapel Methodist Church at True where she was known for her devotion to bake sales and church dinners. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law Shirley and Effie Lemon of Massillon, OH; niece Faye Marie Gray of Massillon, OH; nephews Bill Yost of Princeton, Donald Lemon and wife Marilyn of True, Cary â??Busterâ?? Lemon and wife Teresa and Randy Lemon of Massillon, OH; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Gary Michael, Kimberly, Micah and John Testerman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the James Chapel United Methodist Church at True with Pastor Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Wynn Cemetery at True. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and at the church one hour prior to services. The family requests that donations of food be taken to the James Chapel United Methodist Church at True prior to the service the day of the funeral for a fellowship dinner. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
