Patricia Gail Meadows, 57, of Hinton, quietly and peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born March 2, 1957 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. Meadows and Mildred Waddell Meadows of Hinton.
Patricia had lived most of her life in Summers County. She was a 1976 graduate of Hinton High School. In her lifetime, she was a caregiver to many. Each of those that she gave care to, had became her family, and she loved them dearly. She loved crocheting and reading. Patricia was an avid wrestling fan and a collector of teddy bears. Most of all, she loved going to church and spending time with her family.
Besides her father, Patricia was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Nancy L. Brown and Norma Jo (Penny) Conti.
Besides her mother, those left to cherish her memory are her sister; Deloris J. Allen and husband Jim; nephews, Jeff and wife Becca Ballengee, Nathan and wife Victoria Allen, Tony and wife Lori Conti, Mike and wife Carrie Conti, Chris and wife Melissa Conti, Scott and wife Amanda Conti, Ed and wife Kay Westbrook, and Steve Westbrook; nieces, Denise Allen, Nedra Allen, Ginger and husband Jeff Rushton; brothers-in-law, Graydon Brown, Richard Conti; special uncle, Norman Via; and aunts, Shelva Maleck and Dorthy Meadows. She was also survived by many cousins, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Cobb officiating. Friends may call the funeral parlors from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Thursday, and one hour prior to service on Friday at the church. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Mike Conti, Chris Conti, Scott Conti, Jeff Ballengee, Nathan Allen; and brothers-in-law, Jim Allen and Richard Conti.
