Patricia A. Sweeney Moore, 64, of Jumping Branch, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15, 2012 at The Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness.
Born January 17, 1948, at Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Kyle Bronco and Josephine Saunders Newberry Carter.
Patricia was the last surviving member of her immediate family and of the Baptist Faith. She was a former owner and operator of Sweeney's Market at Jumping Branch and also a former manager at Go Mart in Princeton. Pat enjoyed raising Belgium horses where she obtained many awards at the West Virginia State Fair and different attractions. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and loved spending her time with friends and family.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Sidney C. Sweeney Sr. and two sisters, Rebecca Kemp Hall and Betty Jean Faubel.
Survived by her husband, Richard Moore of Jumping Branch; four children, Jo Marie Mitchell of Jumping Branch, Rebecca Jean Earhart and husband Ben of Alderson, Sidney C. Sweeney and wife Kristina of Jumping Branch and Patricia L. Sweeney and companion William Richmond of Sandstone; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and her step mother, Betty "Loulou" Carter of Jumping Branch.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor James Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Quesenberry Cemetery at Streeter. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 2:00PM until time of services Sunday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
