Pauline Virginia Gill Canterbury, 90, of Peterstown, formerly of Hinton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her home following a long illness.
Born December 10, 1923 at Ramp, WV she was a daughter of the late Okie and Hattie Gill Ward.
Pauline was of the Baptist faith. She was an active member of the Monroe County Senior Center and a homemaker who loved gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by her first husband, Roscoe Gill; one daughter, Belva Jane Gill; one grandson, Tracey David Gill; three brothers; three sisters and one daughter in law, Cathy Gill.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, David Gill and wife Della of Ballard, Robert Gill of Peterstown, Linda Thornquest and husband Paul of Beckley and Johnny Gill and wife Gaye of Forest Hill; one sister, Mable Stoddard of Hinton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
