Philip W. Gill, 55, of Esmond, RI, formerly of Hinton, died Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at the Massachusetts General Hospital, at Boston, MA, following a sudden illness. Born October 5, 1949 at Hinton, he was a son of Mrs. Gladys Massey Gill of Bluefield, WV and the late Basil Earl Gill. Philip was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he was an insulation contractor and had lived in Rhode Island for the past 33 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hinton and never lost his love and interest for the people in Hinton. Preceded in death by one brother, Kert Gill. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Wendy, at home, one son, Steven Paul Gill of Woonsocket, RI, three daughters, Ginger Sick and Melanie Gill both of Woonsocket, RI and Aimee Harvey of Harrisonville, RI, nine grandchildren, two sisters, Janice Muncy and husband Hank of Bluefield and Nilia Angell and husband Carlos of Covington, VA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Ronnie Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time on Friday.
