Randy Murphy

Randy Joe Murphy, 69, of Ramp went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Born April 22, 1952 in Clendenin he was the son of the late Bonnie Alfred and Dollie Elizabeth Murphy.  Randy was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served his country in the Vietnam War and was a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church where he served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He worked for many years as an over the road Truck Driver and most recently as a Contract Mail Carrier.  He loved to hunt, fish, take long walks in the woods where he spent many a hour with his beloved wife.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 24 years, Robin Murphy of Ramp; two children, Elizabeth Murphy Landers and Randall Wayne Murphy; and five grandchildren and three siblings; James Alfred Murphy, Robert Darnell Murphy and Paula Jean Myers.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral parlors.
