Rebecca E. (Becky) Faris, 54, of Indian Mills Rd., Bozoo, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Bower Hospice House at Beckley, following a short illness.
Born June 6, 1960 at Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of Edna E. Faris of Bozoo with whom she made her home for the past 25 years, and the late O. Dean Faris.
Becky had worked all her life in food service, having worked at Kirks Restaurant at Hinton and Cracker Barrel at Princeton where she had worked until her illness.
She attended the Thompson's Chapel Church near her home.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gene Blaine Faris.
Besides her mother, Becky is survived by her son, Anthony S. Scarafino and Cassidy Hedrick of Forest Hill Rd. Red Sulphur Springs WV, one grandson Cole A. Scarafino, of Princeton, four sisters, Carol Oakes of Memphis TN, Gail Pack and husband Richard of Ballard WV, Cheryl Faris of Conover, NC and Teresa Johnson and husband David of Peterstown WV, four brothers Jeff Faris and wife Pam of Narrows VA, Jimmy Faris and wife Dora of Pipestem WV, John Faris and wife Chris of Maiden NC and Rick Faris and wife Beverly of Catawba NC, a special aunt Lee Shrewsberry of Beckley and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Mills Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Tom and Randy Keatley, Aaron and Adam Johnson, Seth Hill and Justin Faris.
