Rebecca Mae Harris, 50, of San Benito, TX, formerly of Talcott, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX following an apparent heart attack.
Born July 29, 1961 in Summers Co. she was a daughter of the late William A. ?Bill? Martin and Goldie Marie Richmond Martin of Talcott.
Rebecca was of the Baptist Faith and had attended River Valley Baptist Church at Forest Hill. She was formerly employed at Unique Balance in Pence Springs. Rebecca was a graduate of Talcott High School who loved feeding her birds, taking walks on the beach and staying in touch with friends and family on Facebook.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roger Lee Harris.
Besides her mother she is survived by one son, Christopher Roger Harris of Talcott; her companion, Donald Pontius of San Benito, TX; a sister, Joyce Ewing and fiancé Joseph Rexroad of Hinton; two nephews, Ryan Dodd and Brandon Ewing of Hinton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Keller Cemetery at Lowell. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 10 AM until time of services Friday.
The staff of Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors will serve as pallbearers.
