Regenia Cook, 63, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born March 12, 1954 at Highland Park, MI she was a daughter of Eva Blanche Boland Richmond of Jumping Branch and the late Steward Lee Richmond Jr.
Regenia was a member of the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle. She was a LPN and a former beautician and cosmetologist. Regenia was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Besides her father she is preceded in death by one brother, Thom Richmond; one sister, Donna Harrah and her mother in law, Zura Mae Cook.
Besides her mother those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Jerry W. Cook at home; children, Krista Sampson and husband James of Prosperity, Melanie Spurlock and husband Rick of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy Cook and wife Melissa of Lawton, OK, Alisha Shaw and husband Andrew of Jeffersonville, OH, Michelle Phillips and husband Ray of Columbus, OH and Jerico Cook of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren, Amanda Sampson, Shane Sampson, Les Sampson, Kara Sampson, Faryn Yancey, Catelyn Cook and Ryan Spurlock and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors with Pastor Dalene Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
