Rev. Jennings M. Angell, 85 of Hinton, went home to be with the Lord Monday March 3, 2025, at Summers County ARH Hospital. Born July 31, 1939, in Hinton he was the son of the late Woodrow W. and Sadie Eileen Yancey Angell.
Jennings lived a full life which included serving his country in the United States Army serving his Savior in a variety of Christian ministries, working in diverse settings, and enjoying cherished relationships with family and friends.
Jennings was a talented musician who enjoyed singing, writing songs, and playing several different instruments including the guitar, autoharp and keyboard. He also liked to write and paint. He was a lifelong learner and avid reader who enjoyed researching science, philosophy, medicine, and Bible history. He especially liked spending time with people and sharing stories and jokes.
Jennings was a member of Mount Olivet Church.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (Polly) Angell; two brothers, Leon W. and Wayne R. Angell and one grandson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Connie Carden of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one sister, Carol A. Nutter and husband David of Morehead, KY; several nieces and nephews; and his loving friend and companion, Sheryl Wikle of Hinton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Cremation services have been entrusted to the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
