Rhelda Meadows

Rhelda V. Meadows, 92, of Fincastle, VA, formerly of Daniels, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2009, at the home of her daughter, following a short illness. Born May 14, 1916 at Ellison, she was the daughter of the late George and Nancy Etta Hinton Lilly. Mrs. Meadows was a member of the Beaver Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved gardening. Preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth R. Meadows, December 4, 2000, three sisters; Vera Young, Sadie Dobbins and Sally Rayma Pettery and three brothers; Weaver George, Bill and Geter Lilly. Survived by one son; Ken Meadows Jr. and wife Becky of Roanoke, VA, one daughter; Aileen Robinson and husband J.D. of Fincastle, VA, two grandchildren; Brent Robinson and wife Sarah of Arlington, VA and Sarah V. Staton of Roanoke, VA, two great grandchildren; Camden Lilly Staton and Gabriel Reese Staton both of Roanoke, VA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Gary Eisenman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly Family Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call at the funeral parlor from noon until funeral time on Thursday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
