Richard Cecil Pack, age 87, of Ballard, formerly of Jumping Branch, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 following a long illness. Born August 1, 1937 in Summers County, he was the son of the late Cecil Pearl and Violet Mae Maddy Pack.
Richard worked as a machinist for Long Airlocks and Ingersoll Rand in Beckley.
Richard is survived by his wife, Gail Faris Pack of Ballard; three daughters, Rebecca Lea Pack-Bowen and husband Pete of Newport News, VA, Deborah Kay Wamsley and husband Willy of Midlothian, VA, and Tanya Denise Shrewsberry and husband Michael of Pulaski, VA; one son, Walter Stacy Browning and wife Jodie of Maiden, NC. Also surviving are two brothers; Robert Pack and wife Rita of Hopewell, VA, and Jackson Pack and wife Stephanie of Chester, VA; one sister, Kara Wilson of Jacksonville, FL. Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Billy Ballengee officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services Saturday at the funeral parlors. A private burial will be held at a later date.
