Richard Short

Richard Edward Short earned his angel wings on Friday, December 21st, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. He was born on November 30, 1964 at Louisville, KY to the late Ben and Alice Short of Pineville. Richard loved volunteering at the Summers County Volunteer Fire Department, and spending time with his children. He is preceded in death by his son Christopher Edward Short, his parents, and a few siblings. He is survived by his children: Benjamin Steven Short, Richard Paul Short, Matthew Edward Short, Catherine Lindsay Short, Emily JoAnna Short, one grandchild Caison Paul Gage Short, and his ex-wife Cathy Lynn Greer-Short. A memorial service will be held from 4-6 pm Sunday December 30, 2018 at the Summers County Vol. Fire Department's Station 13 conference room.
