Rita Harvey

Mrs. Rita Mae Harvey, 85, of Nimitz, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the Harmony House Care Home at Lerona, following a long illness. Born July 2, 1922, in Summers County she was the daughter of the late Clate and Laura Mooney Neely. Mrs. Harvey was a homemaker and a member of the Little Bluestone Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by two brothers, James and Burke Neely and two sisters, Athnel Faye Neely and Oma Bays. Survived by her husband of 65 years, Leslie H. â??Haroldâ?? Harvey; one son, John L. Harvey and wife Elizabeth of Alderson; one sister, Mary Jane Forbes and husband William â??Billâ?? of Charleston; three grandchildren, Dawn Surbaugh of Nimitz, Jonathan Harvey of Charleston and Rachel Ballard of Charleston; three great-grandchildren, Brittany, Haley and Cacie. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Elders Tom Pack and David Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time on Wednesday.
