Robert Charles Gill, 71, of Peterstown passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital following complications from a stroke.
Born December 15, 1943 at Judson Mountain, he was the son of the late Roscoe Gill and Pauline Virginia Gill Canterbury.
Robert was an auto mechanic that enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his pets.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Ann Gill; and sister, Belva Jane Gill.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Theresa Whitener and husband Tom of South Charleston; son, Robert Gill Jr. and his significant other Renea Wickline of Princeton; numerous grandchildren; brothers, David Gill and wife Della of Ballard and Johnny Gill and wife Gaye of Forest Hill; sister, Linda Thornquest and husband Paul of Beckley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery at Bozoo. Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM until time of the services Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
